To my AB family this is an exciting and incredible time to be an Abyssinian. As we enter into a season of
sacrifice and commitment it is my prayer that you will move beyond belief and put your Faith into Action.

First, I pray that you move beyond belief and put your Faith in Action by leading your family into
daily prayer and devotions. I am convinced that the success and prosperity of our families are undeniably
tied to our prayer and devotions. God said in Joshua 1:8, “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your
mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you
will be prosperous and successful.” (NIV). And in John 15:17 Jesus said, “If you abide in me, and my words
abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (NRSV)

Secondly, I pray that you will put your Faith in Action by becoming committed to discipling 2 persons this
year. As pastor, I have asked every member to write the names of two un-saved or un-church persons on
the first page of your bible. As a church, we will pray with you for your two persons as you continually
witness and compel them to become disciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Over the next three years we are asking every member to disciple
two persons a year for a total of (at least) 6 persons. Jesus says in John 15:8 that, “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become
My disciples.” (NRSV)
